Team Administrators


Team Admins (Parents) are parent volunteers who facilitate communication and other duties on a team.  It is a terrific way to help make the experience better for coaches, players, and parents.  The duties of a team parent may vary by team (and may be delegated to other parents), but here are some suggested responsibilities:
  • Create team email list
  • Register for team tournaments, coordinate with Head Coach
  • Maintain Team Binder with score sheets, team roster, stickers, etc
  • Create & distribute team directory that includes players’ names and jersey numbers, photos (if possible), parents’ names and contact information (First obtain permission to distribute contact info from parents)
  • Create & distribute a pocket-sized roster with names, jersey numbers, and positions for games
  • Coordinate return of pictures to families
  • Send out weekly reminders of time and location of practices and games
  • Coordinate parent volunteers for other jobs such as Time Keeper, Score Keeper, Reporter (who sends blurb and game score to local paper)
  • Help Coach coordinate equipment set-up and take-down for practice (optional)
  • Keep in touch with the coach and help out as needed
  • Coordinate end-of-season party
  • Coordinate gifts for coaches
  • Help with the administration of fundraising efforts (collect raffles, contents for team baskets, tournament volunteers)
  • Upload team/game photos

The Registration "Team Administrators" is not currently available.

MEAHA Screening / Background check

All SMYHA volunteers who will have direct contact with players will need to complete the MEAHA background check.
